MedVibe has no clinic in Markham — not in Unionville, not on Highway 7. Your request, the review by a clinician authorized to practise in Ontario, and your follow-up all happen online, by phone or secure message, depending on the service.
Many Markham families welcome parents or grandparents from abroad for long stays, often on a visitor visa or a super visa. Visitors are not covered by OHIP, so they pay for care out of pocket and may be able to claim it from their visitor insurance — reimbursement depends on the policy. If your parent is physically in Ontario and the concern is not urgent, they can request a virtual visit: the $150 fee is shown before payment, with an official receipt for their insurer.
If a prescription is appropriate, it goes to the Markham pharmacy you choose, near home or near the family you are staying with. Lab requisitions, when issued, can be used at community laboratories in York Region. And if a concern needs an in-person exam, the clinician says so clearly and points you to a more suitable care setting.
